Lara Cripps (Kernow SSAGO)

Did you know SSAGO has a national trust membership!!!! It's super easy to use and can be a great club activity for your club.
To celebrate the end of the academic term we made a little visit to a nearby local attraction.
St Michael's Mount is an iconic rocky island is crowned by a medieval church and castle - with the oldest buildings dating from the 12th century. It is still inhabited by the St Aubyn family who manages the island. It is a tidal Island, which means the causeway will be covered by the ocean with the tide!! (Like the famous one in France)
We arrived just in time to cross on foot. (The travel gods were kinder to us than at Wales rally!) Once on the island, we had a wonderful exploration of the castle, unfortunately, the gardens were closed but a reason to return next year!
After a nice lunch, we had to catch the boat across as the tide had cut us off! Jk it was all planned. Being slightly over cautious, and a queue that just disappeared, we arrived almost an hr before our scheduled bus. So we finished the day off visiting Marazion and playing some Ninja on the Penzance promenade!
All in all an amazing day.
You can use the National Trust membership, just send team pink an email with when and where you'd like to go: pink@ssago.org
